E-Bike Seizure!

While patrolling Southfield Recreation Ground, officers encountered two individuals riding e‑bikes. Following the appropriate checks, one bike was found to be capable of speeds well in excess of 15.5 mph, making it not road legal.

As a result, officers from the Southfield Safer Neighbourhood Team seized the e‑bike.

This action sends a clear message:
➡️ E‑bikes used in public spaces must be road‑worthy and compliant.
➡️ Non‑compliant bikes risk permanent confiscation.

✅ We will continue to take proactive and visible action to tackle these issues and keep our public spaces safe for everyone.
